Power Store Program

Below you will find our training outline for the SMART Business Academy's "Power Store" program. This program teaches retailers how to masterfully run a retail operation.

This program consists of 11 PowerShop Modules designed to help student-retailers the dynamics of running a profitable retailing business.

This is a 6-month program that students attend for one 1-day weekend every month in Atlanta, Georgia.

Program runs for 6 months in select cities outside of Atlanta. Live Modules are 4 hours in length. Registration is easy.

It doesn’t necessarily mean you have a storefront. You can operate online or mobile. You are still retailing. This module teaches student-retailers how to put an operation together that will solve problems and answer questions before they occur. Student-retailers will gain significant skills on how to run a retail business, which is different from many other business models.

How to Master Commercial Lease Negotiation 119
Selecting the home for your business should be as meticulous as you selecting a place to live. However, there is an element that is more important. Your business’ residence is a commerce machine. This means that the lease you sign can destroy your company if the economic strengths aren’t there. We teach our student-retailers how to negotiate an economical, profitable and sustainable lease.

Putting a brick and mortar store together has 5 crucial considerations. Our student-retailers will learn what these considerations are and how to ensure they can execute them.

How to Manage a Physical Inventory 123
One of the toughest adjustments to make in business is inventory management. Inventory management includes supply chain management, distributor relationships, sales, and much more. This module helps bring understanding to the science of inventory management and helps each student-retailer build necessary skills and use of technology to minimize on inventory losses and create an efficient process. This includes service retailers whose service providers act as their inventory.

Every business should incorporate a point-of-sale system. These systems track customer data, employee data and store data in an impeccable fashion that no human can compare to. This module will train student-retailers on how to use the Quickbooks Point-of-Sale System.

How to Run a Multi-Location Business
If there is one thing we strongly believe in is having more than one location of your business. It does a lot for the culture of your workplace. However, getting to this place is a vulnerable and critical experience simply because you are unable to be in the same place at the same time. Don’t stress over that though. We have found ways to combat that issue and we share and teach those ways in this module.​

Establishing a Revenue Plan
Learning how to create income you can forecast can be difficult. In this module we teach you how to generate consistent revenue that you can forecast. Being able to forecast allows you to be more intelligent at hiring a team, scheduling workflow, making growth decisions and finding profitability. We will get you there.
